THE COMPANY Multinational chemical company THE ROLE PROCESS CHEMICAL ENGINEER – TOSCANA Main Accountabilities: The Process Engineer takes especially care of all the issues related to budget and project. He is involved into all significant plant and organizational changes proposing the appropriate solutions, in compliance with the safety principles as well as the environmental and health protection. He collaborates with the Unit Manager in the internal application of the requirements of the reference standards, with the functional coordination of the Production Unit Manager about the control of Relevant Incident Risks. He carries out its tasks in conditions of operational and decision-making autonomy according to procedures and instructions which provide for significant margins of discretion, coordinating the resources that the Shift Team Leader makes available to him. Main Responsibilities and Tasks: • Perform safety studies (Hazop …) both on existing plants and on new projects to be carried out. • Provide the necessary information to update the Safety Report according to Legislative Decree 105/2015 and s.m.i. • Support the Production Unit Manager in the operational control of the activities with significant impacts on safety. • Support the Production Unit Manager preparing emergency and response activities. • Identify the necessary activities to be carried out in relation to the assessment of relevant risks. • Analyze and develop the proposed changes presented by the staff so that they can be submitted to the decision of the management team. • Perform plant improvement studies always ensuring compliance with environmental and safety parameters. • Follow the specific consumption trends of the plant so as to be able to guarantee the optimization with proposals for interventions. • Prepare budgets for monthly accounting closures. • Follow the plant parameters, pointing-out any anomalies and proposing possible interventions/changes. • Perform plant tests in agreement with the Production Unit Manager • According to the frequence foreseen by the annual calendar it provides its support to shift team as stand-by referent for manufacturing. • Collaborate in improving the performance of the plant by performing related activities in different fields (reliability, operating conditions, specific consumption, new construction, demolition, projects, …). • Perform scheduled checks and checklists aimed at monitoring transitory situations and ensure the effectiveness of the solutions. • Provide for the dissemination of information relating to the solutions and training of the involved personnel. • Critically analyze plant production processes to evaluate possible and more economical solutions from an energy point of view. Contributes to the analysis of process consumption for EE and steam and to the definition of improvement activities/actions about energy efficiency. Level of Education & Experience: • Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Five-year degree) • At least 3/5 years of manufacturing experience (Seveso Plants) • Preferred skills: HAZOP, safety studies Technical skills: • Good knowledge of the English language • Teamwork attitude • Proactivity, reliability, communications skills (in order to interface with different levels of the organization) • Ability to manage priorities • Attention to detail and ability to realize in a timely manner Please send your CV to lifescienceitaly@antal.com RIF: PROCESS CHEMICAL ENGINEER – TOSCANA miojob-internal-cv
